Born in Thessaloniki (Greece) in 1974. He graduated with a degree in Physical Education and Sport Science from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1996) and earned the Master’s degree in Coaching and Exercise Physiology from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece (1998).

In 2001 he received his Ph.D. degree in Neuromuscular Control from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

Since 2002, he has been for almost 5 years research assistant in the motion analysis laboratory of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery (University of Heidelberg, Germany), involved in research projects related to cerebral palsy and sport injuries.

His research interests are related to factors that affect the biomechanical and neuromuscular function (fatigue, neuromuscular diseases, sport injuries, gender, age, training and footwear) and their underlying mechanisms.

Currently, he is lecturer in the Department of the Physical Education and Sport Science in Serres.
